JO, LVT
Jo's love of animals started as a young girl growing up in Montana. She moved to Alaska in 1988 and was introduced to sled dogs. She had a kennel of 40 dogs from 1990-2011. With 40 available patients at her finger tips she was able to explore her interest and knowledge in alternative medicine. She received her associated degree in veterinary techncian medicine and became a licensed veterinary technician in 2010. Working with animals is her passion and she is fortunate enough to work with people she loves in a place that she loves. Dr. Wagnon has been a mentor and a great teacher and a very special friend since she met her in 1989.

Danielle , LVT |
Danielle grew up in South Carolina but after 20 years as a Army spouse, so she considers herself to be from a little bit of everywhere!
She attended San Juan College in New Mexico to become a veterinary technician and was licensed in Alaska in 2016. In 2003 she became a client at Ravenwood and at that time she knew if she ever fulfilled her dream of working with animals she would want to work at Ravenwood. Twelve years later when her husband retired and they moved back to Alaska she was granted that opportunity and she couldn’t be happier. She believes Ravenwood is a wonderful place to work. She considers the staff a second family. She has always been impressed with the teamwork here at Ravenwood and feels very blessed to be part of that team. She has always had a special interest in shelter medicine and encourages people to adopt. She volunteered for several years in Louisiana at a shelter helping with vetting and adoptions. |

Margaret has a passion for animal nutrition and operant training. Margaret has been working with animals for more than 16 years in a professional and volunteer setting, including working as zoo keeper at Zoo Miami. In her spare time she volunteers with Alaska Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center in Big Lake. Sam's bio here.
Alyssa has been in Alaska for most of her life, working as a licensed technician since 2012. She loves working as a technician, but she really enjoys working with patients for their dental health. In her off time, she enjoys riding her horse Kiowa, and hunting and fishing with her husband.
