Diagnostic Tools Laboratory Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic offers a variety of laboratory tests, many of which can be done on-site. Often, we can provide results for routine tests while you wait and have the ability to run tests quickly in emergency situations. These tests can include; kidney, liver and glucose chemistries, complete blood counts to check white cells and red cells, electrolytes, FeLV (feline leukemia) tests, heartworm tests, and various cytology tests. We also have complete diagnostic ability to perform urinalysis, intestinal parasite screening, and countless other laboratory tests. We also send out lab work to IDEXX Laboratory in Washington State for more comprehensive panels with most lab results ready for our veterinarians to interpret the very next day and work with the team there to help interpret complicated cases and results. Imaging Radiology (general and dental) and ultrasound are important, noninvasive, diagnostic tools we use for evaluating injury and disease. Our digital radiology (x-rays) is performed safely and quickly, while ensuring high-quality detail. Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic also works with Southland Veterinary Services to be able to have our films reviewed by a board certified veterinary radiologist within 24 hours, if needed. |
