At Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic, our Doctors are accredited by the US Department of Agriculture. And are available to sign required certificates and documentation for you and your pet to help you meet requirements for travel. Alaska is unique in requiring certificates to travel to other states and there are even more complicated procedures to travel between different countries (international).
Since regulations vary according to country/state (and requirements can change on short notice), we ask that you come prepared with any additional forms required by your destination's government. Before your appointment, please visit International Animal Export Regulations (IREGS) for a list of requirements for specific countries/states. Be sure to allow enough time before your departure date, as microchipping or specialized blood testing may be needed to enter certain countries. Most times, an additional endorsement is required from the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service if traveling internationally.
The first and most important information we need from you for this process is the destination address. From there we can help you navigate the state or international requirements.
For the most up to date information about requirements please take time and visit the USDA APHIS pet travel website at www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel or select the link bellow.
